Care & Connects is an innovative NDIS provider that is dedicated to delivering the best quality support to each of our participants.  To assist with this, we have a dedicated Psychosocial Disability program led by experienced Mental Health professionals, delivering Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Community Participation (CP) support across the Adelaide region.

 Qualifications & Competency

  • Human Resources qualification & Experience - Mandatory
  • Return to Work Training Certificate/ Experience – desired 
  • Experience managing WHS of an organisation with multiple sites.
  • WWC & NDIS Worker Screening
  • AU Driver’s Licence
  • Police Check
  • 100 Points ID

 

Selection Criteria

  • Seeking a dynamic administrative role, preferably within Human Resources, encompassing Recruitment and Compliance functions within a bustling environment.
  • Proficient in managing administrative duties, particularly as a Return-to-Work Coordinator, adept at handling both Claims and Non-Claims cases, and overseeing the Return-to-Work process for Care & Connects employees. Skilled in liaising with insurers, claims officers, and specialized in Return-to-Work Coordinators.
  • Possess over 2 years of experience in Human Resources and Recruitment within the Disability and Mental Health sector. Experienced in all facets of recruitment and performance management processes.
  • Uphold principles of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality, coupled with a robust work ethic.
  • Familiarity with SCHADS award within the Homecare and Social & Community sectors.
  • Well-versed in NDIS legislation and committed to staying abreast of company developments.
  • Available for immediate commencement.

 

Your tasks may include but not be limited to the following:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process of Support Workers tailored to meet participant preferences and support requirements.
  • This includes Managing all aspects of onboarding: creating job advertisements, conducting phone screenings, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting interviews, finalizing contracts, determining pay rates, coordinating with the rostering team, coordinating meet & greets/shadow shifts for matched participants, conducting induction processes, and monitoring feedback on new candidates for 6-8 weeks.
  • Managing all aspects of offboarding : organise exit interviews, generate staff turnover report for the management team etc.
  • Collaborating with client service coordinators and rostering team to ensure optimal support for participants, including recruiting or retraining staff as needed.
  • Overseeing compliance activities, including following up with service coordinators to ensure all Support Workers meet required standards and liaising with Quality and WHS for NDIS audit compliance.
  • Handling minor complaints from participants, Support Workers, and office staff.
  • Collaborating with the Director or Manager to conduct monthly performance reviews for office staff and conducting performance reviews or managing performance issues as necessary with Support Workers.
  • Conducting employee appraisals on regular basis
  • Ensuring ongoing monitoring of 100% compliance with visas, working restrictions, and VEVO checks and other compliance as per industry / NDIS standard
  • Participate in HR projects, contributing to organisation process improvements, implementing best practices, and leading changes within the organisation.
